PARTYNEXTDOOR was born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite on July 3, 1993, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Raised in a Jamaican household, he grew up surrounded by music, which heavily influenced his sound and creativity.
As a teenager, he began producing and writing songs under the name PartyNextDoor, developing his signature dark and melodic style.
In 2013, he became the first artist signed to OVO Sound, the label founded by Drake.
His self-titled debut project, PARTYNEXTDOOR, introduced a moody, atmospheric sound that helped shape modern alternative R&B.
Beyond his own music, he gained major recognition for co-writing Rihanna’s global hit “Work.”
Today, he remains one of R&B’s most influential yet private artists, known for creating intimate late-night soundtracks that resonate worldwide.
